1/14/18 Art Analysis: Alexa Meade "Reverse Trompe-L'Oeil"     Alexa Meade is a well-known artist who is best recognized for her portraits painted directly on the human body having them appear two-deminsional. She calls her style of painting "Reverse Trompe-L'Oeil" because traditional Trompe-L'Oeil tricks the eye into thinking 2-D art is 3-D. Alexa paints over people and objects and makes it look 2-D.  Alexa's work is a combination between installation and phot ography.  "It's really this 3-D world that we're so accustomed to, but just with a little bit of tweaking on it, it appears like so mething completely foreign. 1/10/18 Art Analysis:  "Never Grow Up" By  Mondo x Cyclops Print Works      "Never Grow Up" was a showcase that took place in Austin, Texas on March 28, 2017. The gallery featured artwork dedicated to Disney movies and shows. The showcase was a collaboration between  Mondo  and  Cyclops Print Works . Both companies create posters and fan fiction for different movies and television shows. The companies are made up of multiple artist who help create these posters or fan fiction.      The photo on the right is one of the posters that was featured in the gallery. The poster was created by Matt Taylor. Matt Taylor is a well-known illustrator and designer from the United Kindom. His poster stood out to me because it's personally one of my favorites because it has a lot of life to it. The color is very vivid and lively.
